Introduction

The parts of the book you are about to read here and the stories within take their roots in 8th century Europe and one of its heroes, Guillaume d'Orange or William of Orange, the later Saint William of Gellone. William is the first cause of this book, if you want to call him this. The stories in this book and most of the resulting incidences can be traced back to him and his actions. It is not that he, as a person, takes a big role in this book, but the events resulting from his presence in the world, the effect he had on people around him and what this people influenced by him did and still do today. He was the spark igniting a chain of events still proceeding today. He and his story is the so called butterfly, who could change with a flap of his wings the way we see this world, its history and the way we perceive ourselves.

The work presented here is supposed to be fictional, based on the theories and assumptions of over 12 years of ongoing research. Sometimes this fiction might get closer to the truth than some want to admit, and if so, it never was my intention. In this book the true reader will find truths hidden between lines of fiction, finding them a spring of ideas to research and learn from. And even if the superficial reader will not be tapping into this spring; he hopefully will find an entertaining book to read and wonder about, since the intention of this book is to open the readers mind to the obvious, hidden in front of our faces, wrapped into unbelievable myths and stories.

The writings you will find here are not even drafts, they still are pre-draft, but still I chose to publish some of them here and add chapter by chapter of my writings to them. The research for this book took over 12 years so far and hopefully it will not take as long to put all the collected information into a read- and understandable form. Further there were so many possible titles for the book that I just omitted them and will decide on one when the work is finished.
