Assessments

Today, the consideration of the following factors is the base for every remuneration:

  1. Reputation and size of agency
  2. Complexity of rendered service
  3. Utilization of rendered service

If you want to get an idea about pricing, estimate according to the following factors:

1. Assessment of the Agency

  • (L1) This is the most common form of agency. They predominantly work for small and midsized clients and have between 1 and 20 members of staff.
  • (L2) These agencies have up to 50 members of staff, also work for small and midsized clients, but also work for larger nationwide clients. Most likely their products and services have already won awards.
  • (L3) These agencies belong to the top 50 nationwide agencies according to their number of staff members and sales.

Please be aware, the size of the agency not necessarily reflects the performance for the project you have at hand. The agency has to match the client and the job to be done.

In principle the term “Agency” is being used, even if prices for single persons like designer, programmer, writer and photographer will be used.

2. Assessment of the Complexity

This is probably the most difficult part, but it is necessary to give guidance to a correct pricing. Please consider carefully the complexity and depending on the project also the extent and complexity factor of the services to be rendered.

  • (L1) Normal effort and complexity factor
  • (L2) Higher than normal effort and complexity factor
  • (L3) The highest effort and complexity factor

3. Assessment of the Utilization

Here the timeframe and area of utilization for the services the agency will render has to be considered carefully.

  • (L1) Regional utilization; short term
  • (L1.5) Regional utilization; long term
  • (L2) National utilization; short term
  • (L2.5) National utilization; long term or international utilization; short term
  • (L3) International utilization; long term
